Martinez, a 20-year veteran of the homebuilding & real estate industry, will use his experience and expertise to build an operationally efficient & sales-led organization. Starting Valiant Homes is a passion for Tom and his family. He is supported by his wife of 20 years & their four children.
Tom grew up in Northern Colorado and has lived in Colorado for over 30 years. Having been raised in the construction industry, Tom worked for his father and his contractor partners in the field most of his childhood. In 1997, he received his professional career start in project management with a large construction company in Las Vegas. In 2000, Tom joined Pulte Homes in Purchasing, earning many promotions and honors for his work in Southern California. In 2006, Tom earned the prestigious Top Gun award for excellence in his work and leadership capabilities.
In 2008, amid the industry downturn, Tom and his family moved back to Colorado and made an exciting career shift into sales. Joining the Title Insurance industry, Tom made a large number of his current home building, real estate, commercial development, and lending contacts while growing market-share for First American Title. In 2012, Tom was recruited and hired as Executive Vice President of Madison & Company Properties, a boutique real estate company. While there, he grew the organization by over 300% and recruited, hired & trained over 75 real estate professionals. Tom joined LGI Homes as its market leader in 2014, starting the Colorado division where he led the organization to one of the fastest starts in LGI history. Tom led all facets of the operations, including but not limited to construction, sales, purchasing, and warranty. In 2017, Tom was recruited and hired as Division President for Dream Finders Homes. He was responsible for stabilizing the operation and positioning DFH for growth. Tom has since consulted for a well-respected multi-family builder, Lokal Homes, helping develop a world-class sales process and in 2018, was hired as General Manager for the Sterling Ranch Community Authority Board. Tom led the entire day-to-day operations, including investor relations, public infrastructure development, management of the special districts & overall community development.
After spending time in nearly every segment of home building, Tom will have a hands-on approach to the entire operation and will personally manage and oversee the first few projects.
